KERRY KREITMAN

Kerry Kreitman, Ph.D., PE.

Kerry is a dedicated problem-solver with diverse experience in the assessment, testing, and repair of existing structures. At Pivot, she has led condition assessments of major infrastructure projects, collapse investigations, vibration testing, and more.

Kerry tackles structural problems by striving to understand the fascinating ways structures truly behave. She is actively engaged in development and innovation in the structural steel industry as a member and participant in the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) Task Committees (Quality Control/Quality Assurance and Composite Design), as well as various Structural Stability Research Council (SSRC) Task Groups.

Her diverse experience began as a graduate student at the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned her M.S. degree by exploring nondestructive evaluation of deteriorating concrete structures, and then earned her Ph.D. by developing methods to strengthen older steel bridges. Prior to that, she received her B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.

Outside of Pivot, Kerry is often found seeking out waterfalls and mountaintop views at National Parks around the country, playing various sports, or envisioning the next home improvement project.
