Jorge embraces the challenges and investigative work that accompany forensic engineering. His experience includes design, evaluation, rehabilitation, and seismic vulnerability assessments of new and existing structures and bridges.
Jorge earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the Universidad de Costa Rica, and his M.S. in Structural Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. His graduate research focused on investigating the contribution of steel gravity framing systems to the lateral resistance of
structures. He is a member of both the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC).
Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, visiting family and friends in Costa Rica, and practicing sports. He is a member of the Longhorn Aquatics Masters Swimming Team, and he actively trains and competes in national and international meets.
