SWETHA PRABHAKAR
Swetha Prabhakar
Swetha is an aspiring forensic engineer whose journey into structural engineering began with a taste of various specialties within the field. While she briefly worked in building and bridge design, it was the world of forensic structural engineering that truly captivated her. The excitement of field investigations, the intricacies of diagnostic engineering, and the unending opportunities for learning drew her to it. While she's still in the early stages of her professional development, she's eagerly soaking up knowledge and gaining hands-on experience. Her role at Pivot has given her the chance to work on a variety of projects, including the condition assessment of existing bridge and building structures, vibration testing, repair of structures, and corrosion assessment and more.
Her interest stems from her undergraduate school BITS Pilani, India where she received a B. S. in Civil Engineering in 2021. She later attended the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she received an M. S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a Structural Engineering, Mechanics, and Materials focus in 2022.
When not working on interesting problems, Swetha enjoys music, art, traveling, and outdoor adventure activities.
