Engineering Intern
This position is for structural engineering students currently enrolled in a graduate degree program or undergraduate students who are planning to enroll in a graduate degree program within the next academic year.
At Pivot, engineering interns learn about structural forensics, nondestructive testing, strengthening, repair design, and litigation support from industry-leading experts. Day-to-day tasks include document review, field investigations, structural analysis, technical writing, and more.
Graduate/Staff Engineer (Entry-Level)
Graduate and Staff Engineers work with other engineers at Pivot to solve structural problems for our clients. The breadth and depth of expertise of Pivot’s industry-leading engineers provides an environment that balances challenging work with constant learning opportunities. Day-to-day tasks include document review, field investigations, structural analysis, repair design, technical writing, and more.
A graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in civil engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering is required. We are looking for 0-3 years of experience in the structural engineering industry.
Project Engineer
Project Engineers work with other engineers at Pivot to solve structural problems for our clients. Project Engineers are expected to have obtained a professional engineering license and have the ability to lead small projects or tasks within a large project.
A graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in civil engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering is required. We are looking for 3-6 years of experience in the structural engineering industry. Applicants must have a Professional Engineering License in the United States.
Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Pivot is in search of a Senior Engineer to expand our geotechnical engineering expertise and practice. A Senior Engineer is responsible for managing projects, communicating with clients, performing field investigations, developing repairs, and writing and reviewing technical reports. As our geotechnical practice is expanding, a Senior Engineer is also responsible for performing engineering analysis, document review, and other tasks. Pivot encourages all of our engineers to pursue professional involvement activities, including attending professional conferences, participating in technical committees, and authoring technical papers and presentations.
A graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in civil engineering with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering. We are looking for candidates with 6+ years of experience in the geotechnical engineering industry. Applicants must have a Professional Engineering License in the United States.
